How remote UK Ltd formation works in practice

A UK Private Limited Company (Ltd) is a separate legal entity registered at Companies House. Non-resident founders can form one remotely through an authorised ACSP. Eteform handles the filing and checks in 24–48 working hours. Six service packages start from £226; the £100 Companies House fee is shown separately.

After incorporation you receive a CRN and digital documents. Many founders then open Wise Business or Revolut Business, set a London registered office if needed, and prepare for Stripe, Shopify or Amazon using matching company details. Annual duties typically include the Confirmation Statement (CS01), accounts, and Corporation Tax registration with HMRC when trading starts. Dormant companies still have lighter filing duties — they are not a full exemption from Companies House.

UK Ltd formation does not grant UK residency or a visa. Eteform guarantees legal, complete execution of every request, and bank or payment-gateway approval when all requirements are fully met — with a correctly filed, transparent entity and Arabic support from order to certificate. Compare packages, read the formation guide, or start your order with clear GBP pricing.

When does a virtual office become necessary?

When you receive mail from clients, suppliers or shipping companies; when you want a London address on the website, invoices and contracts; or when you need regular scanning of correspondence. A registered office alone is designed for official notices — not for running a commercial reception desk.

How is the service activated?

  • Choose the virtual office package and understand usage limits
  • Link the address to your company details
  • Activate mail receipt and notification channels
  • Use the address on the website/invoices within the terms
  • Renew the subscription annually

Service components

  • A commercial London address for the use agreed in the contract
  • Mail receipt and sorting under the package policy
  • Notification and scanning or forwarding on request
  • London phone-number options depending on availability in your package

Acceptable use limits

The address must not be used for prohibited or misleading activities, or as a commercial-volume parcel warehouse without prior agreement. Misuse may stop the service. If your activity relies on many returns or samples, tell us in advance so we can guide you to the right solution.

Combining with the registered office

Some packages allow the same location to serve both purposes if legal and contractual conditions are met. In other cases Registered Office stays separate. We confirm the option in writing at activation so there is no conflict on the register.

FAQ about this service

Does it include receiving visitors?

A standard virtual office is for mail and address, not for receiving clients in a lobby. Meeting rooms, if available, are requested as a separate add-on.

How long until I get a notice of important mail?

We work within the business hours stated in the service terms. Urgent mail is flagged at sorting; do not rely on it as a substitute for email for critical operations.

Can I put the address on a Shopify store?

Yes within permitted commercial use. Ensure the platform’s policies and our terms match your product type.

Does it replace Registered Office?

Not always. The registered office is a legal requirement; the virtual office is an operational layer. They may be combined in some packages if conditions are met.

How much does it cost?

From about £100/year depending on the package on /packages and /en/packages. Details and terms on request.
